Structures of Alexander Mamut, owner of Rambler & Co, are looking for a buyer for the oldest project of the RuNet – Price.ru. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to a source in the Internet industry and an employee of the investment fund, both of whom received an offer from sellers. According to one of them, Price.ru is offered for sale for $5 million, the second says that the price is measured in a “single digit”.

They have been looking for a buyer on Price.ru for less than a month, Deloitte is handling this, the offer could have been sent to 20-30 investment funds and strategic investors, says one of the publication’s sources.

Rambler & Co First Deputy General Director Maxim Tadevosyan did not confirm that Price.ru is up for sale. Alexander Mamut's holding company A&NN and Deloitte did not respond to the newspaper's inquiries.

Price.ru was launched in 1997 by Price Express, headed by Arkady Moreinis, as a catalog for comparing prices on computer and office equipment online. Rambler bought 51% of the company in 2006 and consolidated the project two years later. According to Mediascope, Price.ru's audience in May 2017 was 1.7 million users, while its competitor Yandex.Market had 19.4 million.
