We have good news. Denis Shumakov, about whom “New” spoke many times, graduated from high school, brilliantly passed the exam. The points gained by Denis allowed him to enter the Omsk State Technical University, on July 13 he was credited to the faculty of information and computing equipment (and earlier, as we said, unkind people diagnosed him with hereditary degeneration).

And one more thing: he now walks, holding on to his wheelchair: he is lucky, doing 140 steps after. Professor Valida Isanova, who is a course of his rehabilitation, says that this is fantasy: after all, a year ago, Denis could not even rise from the stroller, and the first three years of his illness lay without movement and was not able to hold in his hands. Now it squeezes a 10-kilogram weight, drives a tractor, a scooter and a car.

With their help, funds were raised for Denis’s trip to Germany to the Clinic of Freiburg: there, specialists managed to identify the nature of the disease that Russian colleagues could not recognize for many years. After the examination, German doctors developed a rehabilitation plan, which gave, as experts say, phenomenal results. Rehabilitation is calculated for 3 years, but Denis is ahead of schedule and, according to Professor Isanova, will be able to go this way in two years. Eight months are already behind, including thanks to new readers. In order for Denis to go to the finish line healthy, it is necessary to collect another 1.5 million rubles. The main thing is that there are no pauses between rehabilitation courses (each of them lasts a month, break - 10 days).
