New head of the French army

French President Emmanuel Macron appointed a new head of the army - General Francois Lekantra. The previous head of the armed forces resigned this morning due to disagreements with Macron. Pierre de Vilier did not agree with the proposed reduction in the defense budget of France. He wrote in a statement that he could no longer ensure proper security in the country. Over the past two and a half years, more than 200 people have become victims of a series of terrorist attacks in France.
