The coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Volgograd became a suspect in the case of “rehabilitation of Nazism”

The Volgograd coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters, Alexei Volkov, was transferred to the status of a suspect in the case of “rehabilitation of Nazism” - according to investigators, he is related to the publication of a picture in which the Motherland monument is stained with brilliant green. This was reported by staff from the headquarters in Volgograd.

Volkov signed a written undertaking not to leave, according to which he undertakes not to leave his place of residence without the permission of the investigator. He is suspected of desecrating symbols of Russia's military glory, committed in public (Part 3 of Article 354.1).

Earlier, investigators reported that a picture in which the Motherland monument was doused with brilliant green was published from devices belonging to the coordinator of Navalny’s Volgograd headquarters, Alexei Volkov. The Investigative Committee promised, at the end of the investigation, to evaluate the actions of the coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters “and other persons involved in the desecration of the symbol of invincibility and courage of Soviet soldiers.”
