On July 20, the Central District Court of Simferopol extended the period of house arrest for the participants in the February 26 Case, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermendzhi, until October 7. It is reported by "Crimea. Realii” with reference to the lawyer Edem Semedlyaev.
“The court decided to leave the preventive measure and extend the house arrest until October 7. The only thing is that Mustafa Degermendzhi was allowed to go to a medical institution for an examination for three days for three hours, ”said Semedlyaev.
On April 6, 2017, the Simferopol Court changed the measure of restraint for Mustafa Degermendzhi and Ali Asanov from detention to house arrest. Prior to this, the accused were in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center.
Semedlyaev also told the publication today that the prosecution had finished presenting evidence in court on July 20.
“Today, the protocols of two victims were announced, who could not be found and ensured their appearance at the court session. This was the end of the presentation of evidence by the prosecution. The prosecutor's office asked for a couple of weeks so that the defense could prepare, ”Semedlyaev noted, adding that the next meeting was scheduled for August 10.
