The Commission on the parole of the Department of Correctional Institutions of Nevada approved the Cop of the American actor and football player O. Jay Simpson. It is reported by CNN.
As Reuters noted, Simpson, who had been in prison for nine years, will leave prison until October 1.
“For nine years in prison, I realized that I was a good person,” Simpson said, adding that “I would have done it so that this [crime] never happened.”
In September 2007, Simpson, along with his friends, burst into the room of one of the Las Vegas hotels to the collector of sports trophies and, threatening with weapons, took the cups that had previously belonged to him. A year later, the athlete was found guilty of armed robbery and abduction of people and sentenced to 33 years in prison with the possibility of early release in 2017.
