A Barnaul court fined Golos activist and head of the Siberian center Transparency International Stanislav Andreichuk 10,000 rubles for participating in an anti-corruption rally during a rally against terrorism.

Andreichuk himself and the Golos movement report on the fine, promising to help him appeal the decision.

“The court rejected about 15 of our petitions, including calling witnesses who could confirm my position. The decision of the court is based on 2 reports of police officers, drawn up as a carbon copy and not even dated. And on the video, which also has no date and time. There are questions about other materials as well. It was evident that the police themselves were extremely uncomfortable with what was happening. The young judge was also all stained, ” Andreichuk wrote on his Facebook.

Recall that the police came to the man on July 19 and took him to the police station. In the evening of the same day, the trial took place. He was charged with illegal participation in the action, which took place on April 8, interference with the movement of public transport and citizens. At that time, the mayor's office did not allow an anti-corruption event to be held, but instead organized a rally against terrorism, where activists came with their posters. They were fined at the same time in April. For some reason, Andreichuk, who was present at the same event, was decided to be held accountable a few months later. Stanislav Andreichuk recently released a report on budget spending on sociology, political consulting and information in Moscow and the material "How Vecherniy Barnaul Became United Russia's Press Organ". With this activity, he himself and his colleagues connected the activity of the police.

Andreichuk intends to appeal against the decision of the court, up to the European Court of Human Rights.
