The first step in setting up HTTPS is to get an SSL certificate. About how to do this we talked in the previous video tutorial . Then we managed to get a free SSL certificate using the Cloudflare.com service. Today we will talk about how to improve data protection and configure HTTPS for the site based on WordPress.
The SSL certificate is connected in your personal account by the hosting provider. If you do not notice such functionality, you can contact the technical support, but this action should not cause difficulties. Before connecting, we strongly recommend that you make a backup copy of the site.
After connecting to the WordPress administrative panel, you need:
- Change the notes in the fields “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” with http: //vash_sit.ru on http s : //vash_yat.ru (Settings-generals);
- Install two additional plugs: Better Search Replace and WordPress Force HTTPS.
