
UAC has already entered into an agreement for the supply of five SSJ 100 to Zambia
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) together with the African export-import bank (Afreximbank) and VEB will create a “leasing platform” for the supply of Sukhoi Superjet 100 to the African countries, the head of the UAC Yuri Slyusar said, Interfax reports.
“We agreed with Afreximbank with the participation of our colleagues from VEB to create a leasing platform that will provide for the purchase of 10 aircraft first, in the future, as we are evaluating the African market, the figure can be more,” he said.
According to Slyusar, the first delivery may take place in 2018.
The head of the UAC also added that on July 20 the corporation signed an agreement for the supply of five SSJ-100 to Zambia.
The largest foreign buyer SSJ-100 is Mexican Interjet, in the company of the company 22 such aircraft. Also, the liners use the Irish Cityjet and the Thai Air Force.
In Russia, Sukhoi Superjet 100 is on the operation of Aeroflot (30 cars in the park), as well as, among others, the Gazpromavia and Yakutia carriers.
