Moscow march for free Internet gathered at least 2 thousand participants

In Moscow, a coordinated march for free Internet was held along the Boulevard Ring. As the correspondent of "faces" reports, the action collected at least 2 thousand participants.

The police who were on the framework forced the demonstrators to show their posters. Those who caused the claims of the security forces were withdrawn. OVD-Infoclarifies that, among others, posters were withdrawn in support of the mathematician and participant in the TOR project Dmitry Bogatov, who was arrested in the fabricated case of calls for terrorism and the preparation of riots.

At the same time, not everyone managed to get to the procession. Less than half an hour after the intended start of the event, the police closed the frames at the entrance and stopped letting people into the action.

At least three participants in the action were detained. This is the civil activist Grigory Saksonov with the Putin Liesposter (Eng. Putin Lit), a minor activist of the “protest Moscow” Ruslan Ivanov, who distributed leaflets in support of Alexei Navalny, as well as a young man who unfolded the poster “destroyed all the media, took up the Internet - tired of”.

Saksonov was soon released from the OP "Tver" after the "preventive conversation". The protocol was not drawn up for it. A little later - also without drawing up the protocol - Ivanov was released ; The leaflets were taken from him. Nothing is known about the fate of the third detainee.

The organizers of the march were Parnassus, the "democratic choice", the party on December 5, the Pirate Party of Russia, the "Civil Initiative", the Libertarian Party and "Roskomsvoboda". The action was carried out in protest against violations of constitutional rights to access to information and the inviolability of private life, as well as against new repressive laws, extrajudicial blocks, persecution of citizens for the exchange of information and a statement of personal opinion. One of the requirements of the march was the resignation of the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov.

On Friday, the State Duma adopted in final reading two new repressive laws - on the regulation of messengers and on the ban on bypassing of locks. After the holidays, it is planned to adopt a law on the censorship of social networks .
