A girl was returned from Turkey to Russia after they tried to take her to Syria
A six-year-old girl, who was detained with her family on the border of Turkey and Syria, was returned to Russia. It is assumed that her mother, Svetlana Ukhanova, with her second husband Yevgeny Kochaari and two children, planned to move to the territory controlled by the terrorists of the Islamic State.
The girl was handed over to her own father, Sergei Ukhanov, with whom Svetlana is divorced.
With a request for help in returning the child, Ukhanov turned to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. Kadyrov posted a video in which Sergei Ukhanov thanks him for his help.
The detention of a family from the Saratov region (Yevgeny Kochaari, Svetlana Ukhanova, her six-year-old daughter from her first marriage and her one-year-old daughter from her second marriage) became known on July 12. In Turkey, they were placed in a deportation center on the border with Syria.
As Sergei Ukhanov said, he allowed his daughter to be taken out of Russia, since his ex-wife assured that she simply wanted to go on vacation with the child to Turkey.
According to Ukhanov, his ex-wife converted to Islam after her second marriage, and the family began to live according to Sharia law.
