The case against the journalist for inciting hatred for the songs of the group “Hook on the Right” was dropped

The Investigative Committee dropped the criminal case against Natalya Vakhonin, editor-in-chief of the news agency Mezhdu Rows in Nizhny Tagil, under the article on incitement to hatred. This is reported by the agency itself.

The decision to dismiss the case appeared on July 14. It says that the investigation established that the page on the VKontakte social network, where the publications imputed by Vakhona were located, was run by a “male person”.

Vakhonin was accused of posting on the page in 2011 and 2012 several songs of the Huk Right group - three audio clips and one video clip. Operatives from the Center for Combating Extremism offered her to plead guilty in order to close the case due to the statute of limitations, but she refused, the agency reports. On August 18, 2016, Vakhonin's house was searched, and a laptop, tablet computer, phones, flash drives were confiscated.

Vahonina in the agency's report notes that "three investigators have changed in this case over the year."

The Hook Right group declared itself to be the voice of the Russian Obraz nationalist organization.
