In Veliky Ustyug, a palace for Santa Claus will be built for 350 million rubles. This was told by the Governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov, Interfax reports.

The regional authorities fill out an application to the Ministry of Culture. If it is approved, then the construction will begin within a year, and plan to finish it in two years.

The estate of Santa Claus's patrimonial is 43 hectares, the palace is planned to be placed on its territory.

Over the past five years, 5.5 billion rubles have been invested in the development of Veliky Ustyug, Kuvshinnikov noted. Now the city is visiting about 300 thousand people a year, the authorities intend to double the tourist flow by 2030.

In the two -story tower of Santa Claus there is a throne room, a bedchamber, an office, as well as a room of Christmas trees, a pantry of fairy tales and other magical rooms. On the territory of his estates there are several workshops, a hotel, a post office and zoo.
