Ukraine has stopped supplying electricity to the DPR

The state operator of Ukrainian trunk electric networks Ukrenergo stopped supplying electricity to the territory of the Donetsk region controlled by the militants. The acting director of the company Vsevolod Kovalchukwrote on his page.

According to Kovalchuk, the supply of the DPR with Ukrainian electricity stopped at midnight on July 26.

At the same time, Kovalchuk noted that the territory under the rule of the separatists does not suffer from a lack of electricity. “The needs of the occupied territories in electricity are covered by the Starobeshevskaya and Zuevskaya TPPs, other suppliers in the uncontrolled territory, as well as supplies from the Russian Federation,” wrote the head of Ukrenergo.
