The police of the capital of Great Britain is investigating the next “acid attack”, which suffered two young men of Asian appearance, writes The Daily Mail .

According to the owner of the store, to which the victims turned for help, they are Bengal. Representatives of this ethnic group mainly live in India and Bangladesh.

According to an eyewitness, doctors arrived at the scene only after half an hour. But firefighters and police officers appeared quickly (their locations are located literally around the corner).

The witness added that the victims were probably attacked in another place. And then we drove to the store in their car. In men, acid not only burned her faces, but also damaged the skin on her legs.

According to the press, recently cases of attacks using caustic liquids have become more frequent in London. Recall that this month, a 16-year-old teenager was arrested in London, who doused five people with acid for an hour. The crimes were committed on July 13.

Last year, Scotland Yard recorded 455 cases of "acid attacks". This means that the number of such crimes increased by 74%. More than a third of such attacks remained unsolved. This year, 114 “acid attacks” were committed between January and April. The victims had to transplant the skin, restoring the burned eyelids, noses and ears. In some victims, vision was damaged.

The London police are taking urgent measures in order to minimize the consequences of “acid attacks”. For citizens, a memo has been released with recommendations what needs to be done with chemical burns. And in each patrol machine there should now be a five -liter bottle of water in order to quickly wash off the remaining acids from the skin.

The head of Scotland-Jard Cressida Dick described attacks using acid as barbaric. She recalled that previously such attacks were made in the Caribbean islands and in the countries of South America. And for the UK this is a new phenomenon.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Kingdom, Amber Radd, in turn, said that the British authorities intend to tighten the punishment for attacks on people using acids up to a lifelong opinion.
