European University asked Rosobrnadzor to cancel his license

Rosobrnadzor received a statement by the European University in St. Petersburg with a request to cancel the educational license of the university. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the department.

In accordance with the law, the decision of Rosobrnadzor must be made within ten working days from the date of receipt of the application, the press service noted. If violations are found in the application, the university will explain to the university for three days what needs to be corrected or supplemented.

As the day before was explained at the European University, they are asked to annul the license in order to be able to arrange a new one. "After the license is withdrawn and the corresponding entry will appear in the register of Rosobrnadzor, the university will be able to apply for a new license for all magistracy programs, graduate schools and additional professional training," the university website noted.

On July 13, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal of Moscow recognized the legality of issuing a re -order of Rosobrnadzor to eliminate violations to the university. "Not seeing the meaning in further appeals, the university begins to formalize a new license, without waiting for a court decision on the final cancellation of the existing license," the university noted .

"According to existing agreements, this (new. - Ed.) License will be given to us in a shorter time than usual. And then we manage to make a set for the new academic year and go from the critical regime to the usual one," said the rector Nikolai Vakhtin.

The authorities repeatedly, under various pretexts, created obstacles to the work of EU. So, in April 2016, Rosobrnadzor completely suspended the state accreditation of higher education programs at the university.

On December 7, 2016, Rosobrnadzor announced the suspension of the EU license . The university filed a lawsuit in arbitration, and on December 13, the judge of the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Tatyana REVSKA as a security measure for the time of consideration of the appeal obliged officials to return the right to work the right to work. The next day , the license was restored .

In January of this year, it became known that the Committee of Property Relations of St. Petersburg filed a lawsuit in arbitration on eviction of EU from the occupied building - the Kushelev -Bisborodko Palace on Gagarinskaya Street. This lawsuit has not yet been considered.

In early February, the Moscow Arbitration Court rejected the university’s lawsuit against Rosobrnadzor, filed in connection with the results of the September audit, on the basis of which the university suspended the license.

On March 20, the Revskaya judge confirmed the decision of Rosobrnadzor to cancel the EU license, rejecting the university’s lawsuit filed to the department. On May 25, the Arbitration Court of Appeal left the EU complaint to this decision, since the applicant did not attach all the necessary documents to it.
