A court in Samara overturned the fine of one of the participants in the April “Social March”

According to Kruglov himself, the basis for initiating an administrative case against him under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a public event) was that during the “Social March” the activist walked at the head of a column of demonstrators. The police considered that the procession interfered with pedestrian and car traffic along Lenin Avenue.

The Leninsky District Court earlier agreed with the demands of the organizers of the march, who filed a lawsuit against the administration of Samara, challenging its refusal to coordinate the march on April 23 from Kozlov Square along Lenin Avenue to Heroes of the 21st Army Square. Following the meeting, Judge Natalya Durnova ruled: “The decision to recognize as illegal the refusal of the administration of the Samara city district to agree on the place and time for holding a public event in the form of a demonstration is subject to immediate execution.”

The Samara "Social March", held on April 23, was dedicated to the demand to cancel the latest decisions of the Samara authorities, taken in relation to pensioners and other beneficiaries, which worsen their situation. The protesters also demanded the resignation of the governor of the Samara region Nikolai Merkushkin.

On April 24 and May 3, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Samara fined two organizers of the Social March, 30,000 rubles, a deputy of the Samara Provincial Duma from the Communist Party Mikhail Matveev and Maxim Fedorov , under part 3 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (actions that caused interference with the functioning of life support facilities).
