In Irkutsk, the police officers on July 27 on the campaign Cuba and the picket detained four volunteers of the local campaign headquarters Alexei Navalny. This was reported in the community "Navalny team | Irkutsk "on the social network" VKontakte ". The first detentions occurred in Cuba on Uritsky Street, the second on the picket near the Babr sculpture.
According to the community, all activists have already been released. The protocols were not drawn up for volunteers detained in Cuba on Uritsky. However, police officers took 1275 leaflets and 230 newspapers from the Cuba participants, as well as independently dismantled the campaign cube and seized it. In addition to this, the headquarters coordinator called the same agenda to the police.
“We put a cube with banners for the first time, since our previous ones were seized“ for examination ”. But we did not have time to assemble the structure, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came up and informed us that we have no right to put a cube, since the banners are on the examination. The same thing was told to us about newspapers and leaflets. “Materials for examination, where is the ban?” - We ask a question. The security forces could not answer him. But it doesn’t matter, right?
As a result, two of our volunteers were detained in Cuba (they were already released without protocols), 1275 leaflets and 230 newspapers were seized, and the coordinator called the summons in the evening. In addition, police officers independently dismantled the cube and seized banners along with the metal structure. Apparently, it is of particular interest for the examination, ”the group said.
Two detainees at the Baber picket were delivered to the police department No. 7, where they kept more than three hours until the lawyer arrived.
According to the Irkutsk “Navalny team”, the volunteers “are charged with a violation of the procedure for organizing a picket: supposedly, the distance between them was less than 50 meters, although the picket did not pass at that moment, the volunteers simply took materials from each other” (probably we are talking about article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
