The Main Directorate of the Own Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia began checking the actions of police officers in Tomsk, who detained three women on June 15 due to recording a video message to the President of Russia on corruption and “revolutions in uniform” in the city. Thiswas reported on July 27 by New Gazeta with reference to the words of the coordinator of the local branch of Open Russia Alexei Pryanishnikov.
“I was called one of the pensioners - Galina Shergina, and said that on Tuesday there was a call with an invitation to visit the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Tomsk region, where an employee of the HUSB came from Moscow to get an explanation from all women,” said Pryanishnikov.
The employee talked with Shergina for four hours, considered her explanations in detailed and did not interview the rest of the women who also came to tell about what had happened.
“He received a detailed explanation regarding the actual side of the case. Who, when, how much came, what was read out. As they moved further, as when recording a video message, police officers behaved, as they acted later. He asked about the circumstances of the detention, the preparation of administrative protocols, the trial itself, ”the coordinator added.
The reason for starting the audit, apparently, was the appeal of the detainees to the presidential administration, which they sent through the electronic reception on July 20. In circulation, they described what happened and asked to figure it out.
Pensioner Galina Shergina was fined 20,000 rubles, an employee of the “21st century Lighting Engineering” Elena Sosulina was fined five thousand rubles , 70-year-old Ekaterina Gavrilin, which the ambulance took away from the court session, also five thousand rubles . The court found them guilty of an administrative offense under part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - the organization of an inconsistent picket.
