The Rosguard will create its own "scientific companies", and, perhaps, in the fall-this was announced by the head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Administration of the Russian Guard, Lieutenant General Yevgeny Fuzhenko.
Fuzhenko explained that the idea of creating scientific companies Rosgardia prompted the experience of the Ministry of Defense, where such units began to form since 2013 - first of all, from IT specialists. “We begin“ great hunting ”for programmers. Hunting in the good sense of the word, because it is dictated by the volume of a software product that needs the army in the next five years,” said Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu then.
To get into one of the scientific companies of the Ministry of Defense, you need to have a diploma of higher education, preferably scientific and technical: in fact, these units were created so that graduates of universities who were in the army by call or at their own free will be used with greater efficiency than for ordinary army outfits and work in utility farms. The officially declared spheres of activity of the scientific company of the Ministry of Defense are extremely diverse - from robotics and unmanned aviation to special communications and the collection and analysis of electronic intelligence.
On the network you can find the story of one of the conscripts who served in a scientific company in 2014-2015. The author says that he graduated from the university in the IT speciality, entered graduate school, but soon abandoned it and lost the right to delay from military service. In the military enlistment office, he was offered to go to a scientific company, and the additional competition was not required for this. The young man says that the conditions of the service were relatively comfortable: recently renovated barracks, the ability to use a smartphone without restrictions, a complete absence of hazing. At the same time, cadets had to engage in far from only "scientific" activities:
"As an idea, a fighter on a working day should engage in scientific activities on the subject determined by its leader. However, in fact, everything was a little different. Well, sooooo fighters, they loved to involve the most diverse things, starting from urgent presentations, drawing texts for command, repairing computers, removing viruses and other near -Russian tasks, ending with simple physical work (shake it with simple physical work (shake it out Sand, unload concrete borders, repair something, paint, drag) for ensign, there is nothing to do with our company. ”
I had to download software with mobile Internet through smartphones
The author describes the specific technical tasks that were set for military personnel, noting only that they were mainly related to programming and “microcircuits”. Pi this, official access to the company's cadets was extremely limited, and the command did not provide the necessary software, so the software had to be downloaded using mobile Internet through smartphones. In general, the former serviceman described his service as follows: "A good practice, albeit worried." But as far as the formation of scientific companies helps the Russian armed forces to reduce the technological lag from the Western armies so far. In any case, the quality of presentations in PowerPoint is pointily improved, and some university graduates were able to serve in relative comfort. The author of the biographical story claims that some of his colleagues even decided to stay in the company under the contract.
Evgeny Fuzhenko formulated the tasks of the scientific divisions of the Russian Guard - this is “Internet research” and “arms design” and “counteracting terrorism”. In addition, the media interaction department reported that a small group of 7 people will be formed, which will be engaged in "the issue of studying PR technologies and increasing the image of the Russian Guard."
Fuzhenko noted that the selection in the scientific company of the Russian Guard will be competitive, preference will be given preference to the participants of the Olympiads, owners of state scholarships, and authors of scientific publications. The experience of similar divisions of the Ministry of Defense shows that in some cases there is enough university diploma and knowledge of the minimum foundations of programming, but, depending on the region and the year of call, there is a competition of 3 people per place. Practice is widespread when representatives of the Ministry of Defense specially hold meetings with senior students of specialized universities, campaigning them to serve not in an ordinary army unit, but in a scientific company. Probably, now competitors would have called up from the army.
