In Kaliningrad, a student expelled for an action on June 12 was fined 10 thousand rubles

On July 27, the Leningradsky District Court of Kaliningrad fined Oleg Alekseev, the organizer of the rally against corruption on July 12, 10 thousand rubles, who was expelled from Kant University after the rally. He was accused of violating the order of its organization or holding by the organizer of a public event (under Part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by the publication “New Kaliningrad. Ru" with reference to Alekseev himself. As it became known on July 11, the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU) expelled law student and protester of the June 12 rally Oleg Alekseev for “illegal behavior.” The expulsion document noted the student’s “disrespect for the law and the court in a public space,” disregard for internal order at the university, and an unresolved disciplinary sanction.

The university later released a statement saying that Oleg Alekseev was expelled from the university for poor academic performance and an attempt to give a bribe. At the same time, during a personal conversation between Alekseev and the rector of the university’s legal and personnel department, Galina Kazakova, it turned out that the rector’s office did not like the post on the student’s VKontakte page about problems with coordinating the rally.
