Biologists have appealed the first awarding degree in theology

Russian scientists filed a collective appeal for the award of the degree of theology candidate Archpriest Pavel Khondzinsky. In mid -June, the ministe recognized the degree in theology. The Archpriest in his work as a scientific method used the “personal experience of faith” and defended himself, despite five negative reviews.

The appeal was signed by three doctors of biological sciences: Vladimir Aleshin, Yuri Pankchin, Alexander Kuznetsov.

Scientists believe that in this case we are not talking about science, but about the spread of the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church using an administrative resource.

Formally, as emphasized in the appeal, during the defense, “obvious and serious violations of the“ government decrees ”were committed on the procedure for awarding scientific degrees” and the order of the Ministry of Education and Science “On approval of the Regulation on the Council for the Protection of Dissertations for the Academic Candidate of Sciences, so -so -so -so -so -care of the Doctor of Sciences”.

On June 1, the applicant for the degrees of the candidate of theology and candidate of philosophical sciences Archpriest Pavel Khondzinsky defended his thesis on the “resolution of the problems of Russian theology of the 18th century in the synthesis of St. Filaret, Metropolitan of Moscow”. He represented the work in general church graduate school and doctoral studies named after Saints Cyril and Methodius.
