Eight members of the ANDA dry cargo crew were saved, which crashed on Saturday off the coast of Crimea. This was reported to TASS in the Sevastopol Marine Rescue Department of Rosmorrechflot.

The ANDA dry cargo under the flag of it overturned in the neutral waters of the Black Sea 40 km from the coast near the city of Alupka (Bolshaya Yalta district). On board was a crew of nine people - citizens of Syria and India. The dry cargo transported 24 thousand tons of wheat. The ship followed from Romania to Greece.

Initially, it was reported that after the signal for help, the sailors of passing vessels raised three crew members from the water. The rescue operation began when there was still six more.

“Five people were still raised (from the raft), their condition is satisfactory,” said Spas Center. According to rescuers, another member of the ship's crew remains in the sea, its search continues.

Previously, the reason for the crash of the vessel was complex weather conditions: "The crew of the vessel has previously lost control in complex weather conditions, in the area of ​​the crash, a hurricane wind and rain."

The rescue operation took place in a storm with waves of 3-5 meters high.
