Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Director of the Russian Guard Viktor Zolotov by the head of the anti -terrorist group in the North Caucasus. The decree is published on the official portal of legal information.

The document clarifies that the commander of the group will conduct a unified management of formations, units, units and bodies involved in its composition.

The Minister of Defense, the Minister of the Interior, the head of the Ministry of Emergencies, the director of the FSB, director of the FSO will be able to appoint one deputy commander, follows from the decree.

Moreover, compounds, units and units of the troops of the Russian Guard and the RF Armed Forces, internal affairs bodies, bodies and units of the Ministry of Emergencies, the FSB, FSO, as well as federal state bodies, which provide military service, will be attracted to the conduct of control.

The changes are aimed at improving the management of the combined group for counter -terrorism operations in the North Caucasus.

Recall that in April 2016, Putin appointed the former commander in chief of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Viktor Zolotov, the head of the National Guard. With a separate decree, the president included Zolotov in the Russian Security Council as a permanent member.
