Volunteers from Navalny’s headquarters detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, Sergei Sosnushkin and another underage activist were detained while distributing campaign newspapers from the campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny. They told about this by calling the OVD-Info hotline.

The reason for the detention was a balloon with the symbols of Navalny's election campaign, which one of the volunteers tied to his arm. According to the police, the activists carried out "illegal campaigning."

Both were put in a paddy wagon and taken to the police station.

Sosnushkin said that in another department of the paddy wagon, there seemed to be more detainees for distributing agitation.
