In Nizhny Tagil, the police detained four activists from the campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny. Polina Greisman, coordinator of Navalny's regional headquarters in Yekaterinburg, reported this by telephone to the OVD-Info hotline.
Greisman was informed about his detention by one of the activists, Andrey Andropov. Volunteers handed out leaflets from Navalny's presidential campaign. All were taken to the 16th police department of Nizhny Tagil.
UPD. Five activists are reported to have been detained: Andrei Andropov, Aleksey Alekseev, Anatoly Popov, Sergei Antoshchenko and Maria Fast, and the underage brother of one of the activists was also detained.
According to the police, the reason for the detention was "the distribution of dubious leaflets with possibly extremist content."
