"I literally bleeding"

On July 27, in Ufa, not far from his house, the famous Bashkir human rights activist and journalist Anver Yumagulov was severely beaten. According to the IDEL. REALIAMs , the activist, the attack on him occurred in broad daylight, near the tire workshop, where Yumagulov drove before the trip to the country.

Anver Yumagulov is now in the hospital. As a result of the beatings, his two ribs, the lower jaw and the nose were broken. He can speak with great difficulty. He recalls what happened to him as follows:

- Having adjusted the car to the workshop, I went out into the street. There a man came up to me and asked to help push his car. We went, let's go, no car is visible. I ask: "Where is your car?" And then he turned around and attacked me.

According to Anver, after blows on the head, he lost consciousness and lay in this state for about an hour.

On the fact of the attack, the human rights activist turned to the police. The site "About Ufa" said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Belarus officially confirms information about the attack on a public activist. The police took the testimony from Yumagulov, the security forces have not yet given detailed comments on the incident.

The activist himself suspects that the attack on him was registered, however, according to him, no one threatened him directly before or after the attack, did not demand to stop any human rights activities. Therefore, while he cannot confidently assume who exactly is behind this attack.

“My activity is very diverse,” says Anver Yumagulov. - For example, recently I participated in the courts in defense of electrical substations employees in both Ufa and in rural regions of the republic, which were not paid salaries, made in virtually slaves.

Anver Yumagulov is known for his social, political and human rights activities in Bashkortostan since the time of perestroika. In recent years, he has been engaged in the public and legal protection of the Shihan mining massif, which became the raw material base for the largest producer of Soda - the Bashkir Soda Company, defended the Sterlitamak social activist Denis Gromov , whom the aforementioned company accused of extortion. He participated in the elections to the State Duma of Russia according to the lists of various democratic parties. For several years, Yumagulov published his own newspaper Personal Opinion, recently editing his website Toratau. In his publications and public speeches, Anver Yumagulov often promotes the so -called concept of public security, which includes various conspiracy theories, the search for evidence of the existence of a “world conspiracy” and other similar ideas.

The son of a human rights activist, journalist Mansur Yumagulov intends to give the most wide publicity to what happened to his father:

But we really don’t know who to think, where, so to speak, this “signal” came, because the father recently led several topics at once. It seems to me that the closest reason for the attack can be connected with the case of multi -storey buildings, about which the father repeatedly wrote on his Facebook. At first they beat the architect who opposed this development, last week an attack was attacked on a lawyer who was engaged in this problem, and now - as a journalist who covered this matter. Another thing he was engaged in is the debts of energy organizations to installers, where a lot of people suffered from non -payment of monetary rewards. Whatever the reason, I want to give this case the maximum publicity so that it is not heated. On Monday, I will also turn to the FSB, since I think that this attack can be qualified as an encroachment on the life of a public figure, committed in order to suppress his activities or out of revenge for such activities, ”says Mansur Yusmagulov.

It should be recalled that in June last year in Ufa, unknown attacked the chairman of the Union of Ecologists of Bashkiria Alexander Veselov. The victim then connected the attack with his civil activity.
