RT Arabic correspondent killed in Syria

In Syria, Khaled Khatib, a journalist who collaborated with the Arabic edition of the Russian RT channel, died as a result of shelling.

The correspondent came under fire near the city of Sokhna in the east of Homs province. He covered the operation of the Syrian troops.

The RT website claims that Islamic State militants were involved in the shelling. RIA Novosti claims that the operator who worked with the journalist was also wounded.
