The Oktyabrsky District Court of Vladimir awarded 30 hours of compulsory labor to Alexey Efremov, coordinator of the local headquarters of Alexei Navalny, for participating in an anti-corruption rally on June 12. This is the portal “Rumor 33”.
writes The reason for the trial was Efremov’s use of a megaphone on the observation deck near St. Demetrius Cathedral, from where the activist announced to the rally participants that they were moving to. Previously, the Vladimir regional branch of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network, where Efremov worked as chief engineer, proposed a coordinator. The activist linked the actions of the leadership with its activities and cooperation with Navalny’s headquarters. In the administration of Vladimir, the applicants of the action against corruption on June 12 approved the event, but forgot to sign the document. Therefore, the organizers considered that the authorities did not reject the application within the required time frame and did not offer alternative options, and accordingly, the event was approved. Three activists were detained that day.
