The organizer of the June 12 rally in Togliatti (Samara region) Sergei Ionov was fined 2,000 rubles for posting a video on a social network, writes . Interfax
The Avtozavodskoy District Court found Ionov guilty under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Production and distribution of extremist materials) for posting a video that is on the Federal List of Extremist Materials under number 2066. It is not reported which video is being referred to. In particular, under this number are the videos “Let's remember the Rogues and Thieves of their Manifesto-2002”, “Putin opened the borders of Russia to NATO troops” and others.
According to Ionov, he was summoned to the Center for Combating Extremism on June 10 and told that he was unlawfully distributing content from Alexei Navalny's channel, a video that Ionov posted in 2011. A protocol was drawn up against the activist, a copy of which was not given to him.
Ionov noted that the court decision forbids him to participate in the elections of the city duma in Tolyatti.
