The series "Nothing Personal." 2013 Bumag, ink, embroideryOn September 9, in the center of fashion and design, the new space of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative and Applied and Folk Art (VMDPNI), a personal exhibition of the artist, poet and writer Linor Goralik “Theory of everyday life” will open.
The exposition will include more than 200 works created over the past 10 years in a variety of equipment - from graphics to silver and sculpture to textiles. Most of them will be exhibited for the first time.
The artistic works of Linor Goralik unites the author’s interest in everyday life, perceived through the prism of constant empathic empathy.
A significant part of the work is dedicated to the imaginary late Soviet Andegrannaya Association of the townspeople who lived in a fictional “closed” city-millionaire Tukhachevsk.
A series of works "-Mnesia" presents the conceptual samples of Wearable Art , made by the author manually made of silver, wood, aluminum and other materials. In some objects, including in the embroidered series of “tattoos”, traditional techniques are used in such a way as to involve the viewer in a dialogue about the tradition and the framework established by it.
Other works - for example, the series “Five minutes later” - empathically rethinking the plots of traditional culture that have become familiar to invisibility.
The exhibition will be held at the new institution of VMDPNI - the Fashion and Design Center , which was created with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and has a social orientation: it is planned to hold a wide range of events aimed at supporting young designers. The center is open from 12:00 to 21:00, the entrance is free.
The exhibition Linor Goralik "Theory of everyday life" will last until September 28.
