The judge of the Supreme Court of the annexed Crimea Eduard Belousov extended the defendant of the first case of "Ukrainian saboteurs" to Evgeny Panov for more than two more months - until October 10. This was reported by the Crimean human rights group. The hearings were held closed.
Consideration of the petition of the FSB investigator in the Verkhovna, and not in the district court, is explained by the fact that Panov has been deprived of almost a year for almost a year, and the decisions on the extension of arrests for a period of more than a year in accordance with part 3 of Article 109 of the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure (terms of detention) should be issued by the courts of regions.
The 40 -year -old Panov, a resident of the city of Energodar Zaporizhzhya region of Ukraine, worked as a driver at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. Former ATO participant; Energodar self -defense activist, member of the Executive Committee of the City Council, where he was elected by the quota of the Ugrop party.
On August 6, 2016, Panov, for an unknown purpose, drove in his car to the annexed Crimea and on the night of the 7th the FSB was stolen in the north of the peninsula. On August 8, the judge of the Railway District Court of Simferopol Tatyana Belinchuk, controlled by Russia, with violation of the procedure, arrested Panova on a fabricated protocol on petty hooliganism (part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Russian Administrative Code).
Meanwhile, on August 10, the FSB announced the disclosure of a group of saboteurs sent to Crimea the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The next day, Panov was already arrested in a criminal case and placed in Simferopol pre-trial detention center-1. To him, as well as the second -handedly defendant of the case, Andrei Zakhete, which was stolen in the same days - was charged with part 1 of Article 30 - paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 281 of the Russian Criminal Code (preparation for sabotage as part of an organized group). Given part 2 of Article 66 of the Code (sentencing for an unfinished crime), this charge provides for up to 10 years of the colony.
In the first few days after the abduction, the FSB subjected Panov and Zakhteus to brutal torture, as a result of which both gave confession. However, after sending to the pre -trial detention center, one and the other political prisoner abandoned these testimonies.
On October 7, Panova and Zakhteya were transferred to the Central Gallery of the FSIN “Lefortovo” to the pre-trial detention center-2, unofficially controlled by the FSB. However, on February 14, 2017, both were returned to Simferopol pre-trial detention center. Lawyer Panov Dmitry Dinze regarded the transfer to Simferopol as a means to make it difficult for the Political Zeads access to defense.
Meanwhile, at the end of May it became known that the comparative-molecular examination conducted at the request of the Crimean headquarters of the FSB did not find DNA and fingerprints of Panov and Zakhteus on things, which, stated, were removed from the cemetery near the village of Suvorovo near Armenian.
In early July, it became known that the administration of the pre -trial detention center transferred Panov to camera No. 102, teeming with bugs . Such an instruction to the FSINCI was given by the security forces from the FSB, conducting operational support in the case, for psychological pressure on the Politsek.
Lawyers reported that together with Panov in the cell there were 21 more prisoners and all of them "eat bugs alive." Dinze published a picture of the hands of a political prisoner, dotted with insect bites. “In the same bites, his whole body,” he remarked.
The defenders turned to the Central Glavk of the FSIN with a statement of mockery of Panov.
Meanwhile, Zakhti at the end of June pleaded guilty and concluded a pre -trial cooperation agreement with one of the four deputy annexed Crimea. One of the terms of the transaction was the refusal of Zakhtei from all his lawyers by agreement - now the arrested is the appointed defender. It was also reported that the initial accusation will be replaced with two less grave articles of the Russian Criminal Code - 222 (illegal storage of weapons) and 327 (fake documents).
At the same time, it was noted that the arrested refused to testify against Panov, referring to the fact that he was not familiar with him before the abduction.
As expected, the trial of Zakhteus will be held in September, and the trial will be carried out in a special order - without interrogations of witnesses and analyzing evidence.
Meanwhile, Panov still denies guilt.
