A court in Spain decided to extradite to the United States a Russian programmer suspected of cyber fraud.

The National Judicial Board of Spain decided to extradite to the United States the Russian programmer Stanislav Lisov, who is suspected of participating in the development of the NeverQuest virus.

The court justified its decision by the fact that most of the victims of the virus are in the United States.

Lawyers will appeal this decision, reports RIA Novosti.

• Stanislav Lisov was detained in January 2017 in Barcelona, ​​where he came with his family on vacation. He was detained at the request of the US authorities, who suspect him of involvement in the creation of the "banking Trojan" NeverQuest. With the help of a malicious program that attacked banks, 855 thousand dollars were stolen.
• In the spring of 2017, was detained another Russian programmer, Pyotr Levashov, in Barcelona at the request of the United States. In America, he is suspected of creating the Kelihos botnet, cyber fraud and illegal interception of electronic messages.
