On August 1, police officers detained Kerim Fatahov on a square in the center of Makhachkala, who was holding a solo picket there demanding an objective consideration of his case in court. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
According to Kerim Fatakhov, over the past year he was detained twice - on October 6, 2016 and January 6, 2017, after which two criminal cases were brought against him for possession of weapons and possession of drugs. But the first charge was soon dropped, but a court hearing is currently underway in the drug possession case.
“The prosecution does not want to interrogate my witnesses, they constantly postpone meetings when journalists come to them,” Fatakhov said.
Today on the square a single picketer demanded a fair consideration of his criminal case in court. 15 minutes after the start of the action, he was approached by representatives of the mayor's office, who wrote down Fatahov's personal data, as well as his demands, promising to transfer them to the administration of the head of the republic.
Then Fatakhov moved with a picket from the mayor's office, standing in front of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan with a poster "Help to achieve justice."
Soon two policemen approached the picketer, demanding to stop the action. Fatahov tried to explain to them that his poster was a statement he was going to hand over to the Interior Ministry. Then the police asked the picketer to show his documents, which Fatakhov did not have with him. After that, the police officers called the police squad, which detained Kerim Fatahov.
