Vladimir Narryakov
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the former rector of NSU and one of the most authoritative scientists of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok Vladimir Nakuryakov about school graduates and the system of enrollment in points.
Graduates are enrolled in universities. I had to talk with several candidates for admission to the philological faculty. I was struck that none of them knew the Nobel laureates in literature, even Sholokhov and Pasternak, Bunin, have no idea about authors such as Thomas Mann, Belle, Hemingai, do not read the remarkable fiction of Akunin, not to mention Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy.
The system of enrollment in points is absurd in infinity. In one school, for the same time, for example, 45 points are set, in another school, 150 points are set for the same amount of knowledge. The system is fundamentally vicious. We generate a generation of people who are essentially uneducated, but with diplomas.
Of course, this does not apply to several dozen universities in the country: Moscow State University, MFTI, NSU, Baumanka, Moscow Energy Institute, TSU, TPI, Leningrad universities. The unification of universities of different profiles in one brought damage to the country, which we will feel for a long time. The question arises - why was it necessary to do this?
