Among them are Matthew Barney (USA), Olafur Eliasson (Denmark-Germania), who create new works specifically for Biennale, and the singer and artist Bjork (Iceland-Greatbrin).

The 7th Moscow Biennale will be held from September 19, 2017 to January 18, 2018. The curator of Biennale is the main curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo Yuko Khasegava , the theme of Biennale is “sky -high forests”. The site of the main program will be a new Tretyakov Gallery.
In the Biennale parallel programs, 69 exhibitions at 49 venues in Moscow, including the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow, the Center for Contemporary Art “Vincuration”, the State Darwin Museum, VDNH and the Tsaritsyno and Arkhangelskoye museums.
Exhibitions of the 7th Moscow Biennale will be presented in a free mobile application-with a map of exhibitions in the city, a story about each of them and detailed excursions on the main project in the New Tretyakov Gallery.
In addition, the organizers of Biennale prepare a series of special events - meetings with artists, lectures, discussions - and the children's program.
This year, the expert council of the Moscow Biennale was created, which included the director of leading Russian museums, independent curators and representatives of non -profit organizations - Mikhail Piotrovsky, Zelfir Tregulova, Olga Sviblova, Vasily Tsereteli, Andrei Erofeev, Alexander Rytov and others. The Expert Council makes all creative decisions.
A system of presentation of Russian artists curator of the main project was also developed. As a result of Yuko Khasegava, more than 600 applications from Russian artists and more than 100 recommendations from the Expert Council were received.
