In Buryatia, participants in the protest against unfair elections were fined

On August 2, the Sovetsky District Court of Ulan-Ude fined six participants in a rally against unfair elections that took place near the building of the government of the republic on August 1. This was reported by the news agency "Vostok-Teleinform".

The participants of the action, who on August 1 stood near the government building with posters “Elections are clownery”, “No choice”, “Elections are fictitious”, were detained. Protocols were drawn up against them under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, after which the court fined them from 10 to 12 thousand rubles.

Among those fined was Leonty Krasovsky, second secretary of the republican committee of the Komsomol. He wrote on Facebook that his court fined 12,000.

The meeting was open, filed a motion asking to be allowed to film his speech in court, but was rejected. I will protest, I hope the next instance will be more objective!

On August 1, the same court fined Bair Tsyrenov, deputy of the People's Khural of Buryatia, ten thousand for a solitary picket near the building of the republican parliament. The reason for opening the case was that the same building houses the Republican Constitutional Court, where any actions are prohibited by law. Tsyrenov's arguments that the constitutional court is currently not functioning did not produce any action.
