Puchkov introduced Mirny in the city, where the mine is located, an emergency regime. All emergency services are transferred to a round -the -clock mode of operation.
There are no victims among the workers who have risen to the surface.
The Alrosa said that the cause of flooding was an uncontrolled increase in the flow of water from the cup of the waste quarry. This happened due to the "sharp deterioration of mining and geological conditions" and the erosion of the hosts in the career, representatives of the company explained. They argue that the work on the mine was carried out with safety requirements, the mine was never recognized as emergency and production has never been suspended due to emergency situations.
From the moment the mine put into operation, he constantly encountered the problem of the waterfront. The volume of flow of technical water significantly exceeded the planned level, which threatened safety. On July 29, local media reported that in connection with an increase in the flow of water on the horizon of 320 meters, the MIR MIR ministry management decided to install additional pumping units on the horizon.
