The regional department of the Investigative Committee (IC) opened a criminal case against the deputy head of Penza for land and urban planning issues, Irina Shirshina. This was reported to Novaya Gazeta in the press service of the department.
The press service of the city administration added to the newspaper that Shirshina was detained by the FSB. A RIA Novosti source in law enforcement reported that she was detained at her workplace.
The Investigative Committee accuses Shirshina of abuse of power. According to the investigation, we are talking about the allocation of land.
The case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The issue of bringing charges and choosing a measure of restraint against Shirshina is being decided.
Irina Shirshina took over as deputy head of the Penza administration for land and urban planning issues in the spring of 2015. Previously, she headed the regional department of the State Housing Construction Inspectorate.
From July 2009 to September 2010, Shirshina worked as the head of the Department for Tariff Regulation, Energy Saving and Public Orders in the Penza Region.
For 2016, Irina Shirshina declared income in the amount of more than 1 million 830 thousand rubles, her husband - more than 994 thousand rubles.
