The American marijuana manufacturer bought a city in the American state of California to create a tourist industry in this area, writes Bloomberg.
The city is located an hour from Las Vegas, 20 people live there. The city was bought for $ 5 million, for a year and a half it is planned to invest another $ 2.5 million in it.
The purchase includes 120 acres of land (4.8 thousand acres), a store, a hotel, a school and mineral baths. It is planned to build new buildings there, and receive energy from renewable sources.
“We did not want to miss the moment when this type of niche tourism was ahead of others,” said the project manager Stephen Sherin, referring to wine tourism.
Marijuana in California was legalized in 2016.
