Community administrators on VKontakte complained about the disappearance of pending posts

Some public pages had more than 100 posts prepared in advance.

On the night of August 5, administrators of a number of communities on VKontakte noticed that their section with pending posts had disappeared. They complained en masse about the situation on social networks. Some administrators were afraid that they had lost several hundred entries, and invited their audience to Telegram channels.

In mobile applications, deferred entries remain visible: they can be edited, but cannot be moved to another time.

Some administrators said that extraneous posts began to appear in the groups, but they could not find evidence of this.

The section with pending posts in TJ also stopped displaying, but the scheduled post was still published as scheduled.

Probably, the posts were not lost, but simply not displayed in the desktop version of the social network. As TJ checked, the section will appear again if you send any new entry to the “pending” list.

TJ has reached out to VKontakte representatives for a comment and will add it if a response is received.

Problems with pending posts on VKontakte have been observed since July 31. Then, according to administrators of various communities, pre-prepared materials were automatically published several times in a row. We encountered the same situation in TJ.
