A resident of Texas Gordon Hartman built his own Morgan's Wonderland park for his daughter Morgan. He made such a decision in 2007, abandoning the real estate business and, in total, investing about $ 51 million in the park.

Since childhood, the daughter of Hartman suffered from autism, who prevented her from communicating with her peers, so he decided to build a separate park for her. “We wanted to build a park where everyone could do whatever he wants. Where could children with disabilities and without them play, ”he said.

To finance the park, Hartman founded the The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation Foundation, he raised funds for charity there. In the first three years, his father spent about $ 34 million and in 2010 opened a park with carousels, a review wheel, mini-roads and recreation areas for children with disabilities.

For guests in the park, sports events and competitions are held, next to them there are specialists who help not get injuries on the attractions. 23-year-old Morgan Hartman likes to play in the sandy zone and ride on a swing. She dared to ride on carousels only three years after the opening of the park.

As Hartman noted, he made a water area in the park so that in the summer the children were not hot. The water park opened in 2017 and cost a charity fund about $ 17 million.

In pools and attractions, only warm water is used so as not to injure children with muscle problems. Many of them use waterproof wheelchairs, while doctors and psychotherapists are on duty around.

Hartman noted that he was aware of business loss -making: Morgan's Wonderland has already lost about a million dollars. Funds will be replenished through donations to the charity fund. At the same time, the entrance to the park for children with disabilities, which make up a third of all visitors, is free. The owner added that more than a million people from 67 countries were visiting the park all the time.

As Hartman noted, he does not intend to open another park in another state. Instead, the businessman will take up the creation of educational centers in Texas. Speaking of her daughter, he noted that she feels better every year.

Morgan knows that the park was named in her honor, but I do not think that she realizes how important he is and how she changes people's lives. When she comes here, she is a rock star. Thousands of people want to take a photo with her and talk.
