1917 Formation of the second Provisional Government

One hundred years ago, on August 6, 1917, the second coalition Provisional Government was formed under the chairmanship of Alexander Kerensky. It included three Social Revolutionaries, two Mensheviks, one Trudovik, one People's Socialist, two Radical Democrats, two non-Party people and four Cadets. The All-Russian Central Executive Committee of Soviets of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies recognized unlimited powers for the government, but it was never able to solve the main problems facing the country, primarily the agrarian question and the question of withdrawing from the war.
