Seven activists of the campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny in Murmansk, who were detained for distributing newspapers and balloons, were released from police department No. 1. Protocols on an administrative offense were not drawn up against them, Violetta Grudina, the headquarters coordinator, who was also detained, told OVD-Info.
According to Grudina, there were four minors among the detainees. Parents were summoned to them, and the police officers turned the parents against Grudina, explaining that she was involving teenagers in illegal activities.
The police announced to Grudina that they had sent a request to the city administration due to the fact that on August 2 the administration refused to agree on campaign cubes in support of Navalny, and on August 4 the activists were unable to challenge this refusal in court. According to the police, Grudina was the organizer of the current uncoordinated event, and after the answer to the request comes, they intend to call her to the department.
