The Basmanny Court extended until September 8 the arrest of Dmitry Borisov, accused of using violence against a police officer during a protest on March 26 in Moscow (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on Twitter by the Grani.ru publication.
The investigator asked to extend Borisov's detention until October 8. The accused himself asked to be released on his own recognizance.
Borisov was detained on June 8. According to the Investigative Committee, on March 26, the activist participated in an uncoordinated anti-corruption action, where he kicked a police officer twice in the head.
During the protest, hundreds of people were detained, and seven became involved in a criminal case for the use of violence against police officers.
Three participants in the action have already been convicted: actor Yuri Kuliy received eight months in a penal colony; a resident of the Moscow region, Alexander Shpakov , was sentenced to one and a half years in a general regime colony; Stanislav Zimovets was sentenced to two and a half years in a colony. The cases of Dmitry Krepkin and Andrei Kosykh have already been sent to court; is awaiting completion of the investigation in the pre-trial detention center.
