The Russian government has planned to allocate about a billion rubles to the Match TV channel to cover the Winter Universiade 2019, which will be held in Krasnoyarsk. They want to allocate money in 2018 and 2019; only 988 million rubles.
According to the draft resolution, subsidies are provided both for equipment rental and for obtaining licenses, permits and frequencies for broadcasting, communications and other expenses.
- The 2019 Universiade will be held in Krasnoyarsk from 2 to 12 March 2019.
- The TV channel "Match TV" in 2016 showed a net loss of 1.74 billion rubles. This is half a billion more than in 2015.
