A court session in the Crimea annexed by Russia in the case of one of the leaders of the Crimean Tatars of the Crimean Tatar Akhtem Chiygoz was postponed to August 8 due to the fire of the power cable. The publication "Crimea. Radio" (Radio Liberty project) was announced by lawyer Nikolai Polozov.

The Russian authorities accuse Chiygoz of organizing riots in February 2014. The charge requested him 8 years in a maximum security colony. According to the prosecutor’s office, the defendant’s wine has been fully proved.

Chiygoz was detained two years ago for participating in a rally in support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. He himself does not plead guilty. The human rights center "Memorial" considers Chiygoz a political prisoner.
