Pussy Riot participants detained Yakutsk

In Yakutsk, Pussy Riot participants Maria Alekhina and Olga Borisova were detained. Alekhina told Mediazone about this.

The detention occurred the day after the action in support of the Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov. Girls are suspected of conducting an unauthorized action.

The action took place on August 6. As Alekhina explained , "the business of Sentsova and Kolchenko is one of the main and key political affairs in the history of our country."

In August 2015, the court sentenced Sentsov to 20 years in the colony. He was found guilty of the creation of a terrorist community, the commission of two terrorist attacks, the illegal turnover of weapons and explosives. According to investigators, he set fire to the United Russia branch and the office of the Russian community of Crimea in Simferopol.
