Employees of the special services searched in one of the houses of Manafort in the city of Alexandria of Virginia. The order for the search, the newspaper claims, gave the FBI to the FBI of broad powers, and they seized many different documents. The search was held as part of the investigation of Russia's intervention in the presidential election. As noted, although earlier Manafort voluntarily transferred the documents necessary for investigation to the congressmen, receiving the FBI of the warrant for a search may mean that he can be suspected of concealing some materials.
