In the center of Riga, armed people captured the hotel

Law enforcement agencies of Latvia cordoned off the building of the fashionable Garden Palace hotel in Old Riga, into which a group of armed people burst. According to preliminary data, the invasion of unknown was preceded by a business conflict.

Armed people on the night of August 9 broke into the premises of Hotel Garden Palace, located in the house of N28 on Gretsinieke Street. The attackers entered the rooms, forbade one guest to dress and kicked her out into the street. An attackers also exposed the woman’s things outside the hotel, reports Rus.Delfi with reference to the head of the board of the Uldis Skudra Hotel.

According to him, documents and a mobile phone were also selected from the meter with the use of force so that she could not call the police. However, the owners of the hotel turned to law enforcement agencies.

It is known that Hotel Garden Palace belongs to 966 Freecom LLC. Its owner is forbidden to go to the hotel, whose work is currently paralyzed. According to Skudra, armed people are in the building.

At the moment, the Tea & Coffee Garden and the Secret Garden bar belonging to the hotel are also closed. The premises have many people in camouflage form. Posts are exhibited both near the front doors and inside the hotel.

As explained by the Delfi portal in the press center of the Riga Regional Police Department, in this case we are not talking about robbery. The conflict is based on a civil law dispute between the tenant and the owner. In this regard, the check has begun.

The police also added that they provide public order at the hotel.

We add that in April 2017, the four -star Riga Hotel Garden Palace was already in the news feed. Then it was reported that the employees of this hotel, as well as the Royal Square Hotel hotel, do not pay salaries. Both hotels belonged to a citizen of Latvia of Afghan descent Gulam gum.

The fired employee of one of the hotels said that in December she was not paid anything, and in January the woman received a salary only for November. The employee left the place of work, although the employers remained her money for two months of work, the news agency Rus.tvnet.lv reported.

The woman added that more than ten her colleagues have already left work.

The State Inspectorate for Labor confirmed the fact that hotel staff paid money with a delay, and 63 people were injured in total from the actions of employers.
